What you need to know and why this matters!

Per TEC 21.054(e)(4)(B) – Principals must have an initial training and continued training (at least 25% of which must be completed every five years, including instruction on the effective implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program (CSCP) under TEC 33.005). If your District has not had the initial training or is ready for its 5-year update, now is the time, with the rollout of the Texas Model, 6th Edition, this spring.

Why This Matters:

When comprehensive school counseling programs are implemented with fidelity, research shows they significantly impact campus culture, attendance, achievement, and behavior. This training gives you the roadmap, resources, and collaborative framework to make that happen in YOUR district and across all campuses!

Uvalde CISD - Leading the Way

TxSP recently spent a wonderful day with campus principals, assistant principals, and professional school counselors in Uvalde on building their foundation for a comprehensive school counseling program. Everyone was enthusiastically involved in the activities and ready to start planning for the implementation.
